What is collected

Inquiry form. If you send an inquiry, I receive the fields you complete: name, firm, email, state, type of matter, a description of the records and the deliverable, period covered, number of accounts, any deadline, and anything else you write. The form asks you not to include client names, account numbers, or documents.

Server logs. The hosting provider, Cloudflare, records standard technical data when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time. It uses this to operate and secure the service. I do not use it to identify visitors.

Email. If you email me, your message passes through Cloudflare's email forwarding and is held in my mailbox at Google (Gmail).

Who handles an inquiry

When you send the form, a small program running on Cloudflare checks it and emails it to me. The program does not save inquiries. The email is handled by Cloudflare in transit and then held in my mailbox at Google (Gmail), under their terms and privacy policies.

How it is used

I use an inquiry to respond to you, run a conflict check, and keep a record of inquiries and conflict checks. I do not sell it, share it for marketing, or use it for advertising.

How long it is kept

If we do not work together, I delete your inquiry within 30 days, except a minimal record of the conflict check (names, date, result). If we work together, your inquiry becomes part of the project file, which is handled under our engagement agreement.

If you want an inquiry deleted sooner, email me and I will delete it, unless a conflict-check record must be kept. Deleted email may remain in backups at my email provider for a short time.
