About
Finding the discrepancy.
Exhibit & Ledger is a small contract service for law firms. The work is done remotely.
I hold a B.S. in Accounting. I spent several years as a litigation paralegal in contested probate and elder financial abuse cases, primarily in Georgia and North Carolina, and earlier worked as a full-charge bookkeeper at an accounting firm.
I take inquiries from firms in other states as well.
My strength is reconciliation and tracing: working through the records until the numbers agree, or until the discrepancy shows itself.
Working terms
How I work with your firm
- Flat fee
- Each project is quoted as a flat fee before work begins. See Pricing.
- Attorney only
- All communication goes through the engaging attorney. I do not contact your clients, opposing parties, or courts.
- Attorney supervision
- The attorney directs the work and reviews each deliverable before it is used. The attorney remains responsible for what is filed, served, or relied on.
- Limited scope
-
Each project is defined in its project order. Work outside it is quoted separately.
I do not draft pleadings, make legal determinations, testify, or sign declarations.
- Source records
- I rely on the documents your firm provides. I flag gaps, inconsistencies, and unsupported entries in writing.
- Confidentiality
-
Firm and client information is used only for the project and is not shared outside your firm.
A conflict check comes before any project begins, and I may decline a project.
